The next core competency I believe is crucial in this New Normal for team leaders is the ability to develop agile teams.
Given the volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity which we now find ourselves in, I chose the Core Competency of “Agile Teams” to measure their ability and aptitude to demonstrate resiliency; where they must be able to adapt and change strategies deftly and quickly. Some leadership teams will have a great challenge with this and thus the reason to understand what they need to be “Agile.”
Key Points:
Maximizing the synergy and talent of your leadership teams is a must.
You need to work with the teams you currently have. I would suggest that trying to add new people to your core team during these pandemic times will be the exception.
