Introduction - Part 1
As I mentioned last week, I want to use this blog as a way to share my insights and resources with you. To start I will be sharing my latest work “New Normal Team Leadership Competencies” in bite size pieces each week. Here is the first part of the Introduction to “New Normal Team Leadership Competencies.”
The mission is for leaders to set aside their former playbooks and write a new one. One that honours their mission and the communities they serve. One that makes the most of their organization’s assets - their people, their financial and social capital. One that leans on relationship and trust.
Leaders need to make space to allow staff to grieve. Leaders need to focus on who they are, as well as who and why they serve. That is the key word, serve. Words such as productivity and efficiency need to be balanced with valuing relationships and supporting staff who want to live in close alignment with their core values.
